CHRISC-Gathering

The 8 of March CHRISC-Gathering was arranged in Kimandolu church. CHRISC-gathering is arranged by CHRISC Tanzania, and gathers youth together to discuss about the challenges which they are facing in their society. More than 70 youth from different places attended the Gathering. 

 

We started the CHRISC-Gathering with some games. Here we are playing “Hi-Ha-Ho”

   

Ritha James introduced what CHRISC is and what CHRISC is doing. Also she welcomed the participants to join CHRISC activities. 

 

All the participants joined to dance the CHRISC-dance. Everybody enjoyed a lot, so we danced it three times. 

The Culture group organized a drama about substance abuse. They wanted to teach the participants to stay away from drugs. The drama was very funny, good and meaningful. Also the Culture group dedicated a song to all women because the day was the INTERNATIONAL WOMEN DAY.

 

CHRISC wants the participants to know their responsibility in the society. And here we see one of the participants talking about his responsibilities. Everybody joined the discussion, and we all learned a lot.  

 

After the program was over everybody got some sambusa, karanga and juice.

HIV education in Chrisc Training Centre Arusha

CHRISC want to educate youth about HIV, and therefore they held a workshop in
19. – 22. March in Suye, Arusha.
There were 16 CHRISC volunteers, who come from different zones in Arusha.
In the workshop they refreshed what they knew about HIV, and also learned lots of new things. The knowledge the volunteers got in the HIV workshop, they will teach to other participants and the society.

The day after the workshop was finished, CHRISC Arusha arranged a Bonanza at Suye. Here all the participants who attended the bonanza got tested and learned about HIV.
After the tests, the youth played football matches and had a lot of fun.

Door to door Campaign

Door to door campaign is a group of people from CHRISC Arusha who decided to educate the youth about gender equality.

The aim of Door to door campaign is to promote the women's place in the community, and help the women to understand themselves.

Drama, Suye Primary School

On 22th of February the culture group in CHRISC visited Suye Primary and Secondary School. They had games and drama to educate the students about the importance of equality between genders.

 

Janneth Ndosi, 18 years, is a member of the door to door campaign because she wants to change the society and the position of the girls in the community.
She thinks this is so important to society because many girls don't have confidence in themselves, and they don't understand their rights.

CHRISC GATHERING

CHRISC gathering happened for the first time in CHRISC Tanzania and it took place in Arusha. We interviewed the founder of CHRISC gathering

CHRISC gathering is the way of bringing youth together, have fellowship, discussing challenges in life, developmental issue, getting to know ourselves better and share different things like life skills, talent and also having fun. All youth from different part of Tanzania are allowed to come, not only CHRISC members but also other people in the society so that they can know what CHRISC does.

The aim of CHRISC gathering is to get youth involved in development issues, get to know themselves better who they are and their responsibility in the society. Also we worship together and we let the society know CHRISC is not only about sports but also about educating youth.

CHRISC gathering will help the society by giving youth chance to express themselves about their challenges in life and how to solve them. CHRISC gathering will give youth confidence to stand and talk in front of people, develop their talent and make them being responsible for their own future.

The first CHRISC gathering was fantastic and we hope that three years to come we will be more developed, have our own music band and develop different talent.

From January 2013 we will have CHRISC gathering once a month each month.

HIV/AIDS DAY BONANZA ARUSHA

HIV/AIDS day bonanza was held in Suye at 1^st of December. The aim of this Bonanza was to have HIV/AIDS Blood tests, Counseling of HIV/AIDS and Kicking AIDS Out Games.

CHRISC ARUSHA YOUTH LEAGUE FINAL

CHRISC Arusha youth league ni mashindano yanayo andaliwa na CHRISC kila mwaka. Chrisc ina matawi manne ambayo ni Tanga, Mwanza, Manyara, Kilimajaro, na Arusha ambapo ndipo makao makuu ya CHRISC Tanzania.

League hii kwa CHRISC Arusha kwa mwaka huu wa 2012 ili itimishwa tarehe  24/11/2012 ilianza munamo tarehe 10/03/2012. League ya CHRISC kwa mwaka huu ilishirikisha jumla ya team 98. Kwa mujibu wa Rapha Paul ambaye ndiye mratibu wa CHRISC Arusha alisema kuwa team za wasichana zilikuwa 6 na za wavulana  zilikuwa jumla ya team 96  team za wasichana zote zilitoka katika kituo cha Meserani.

CHRISC ARUSHA YOUTH LEAGUE FINAL 2012

Final ya ligi ya CHRISC Arusha kwa mwaka huu kama kawaida ya kila mwaka ilifanyika katika zone moja iliyo jumuisha washindi wa zone zote za CHRISC Arusha. Final hii ilifanyika katika kituo cha Eso almaarufu kama kituo cha Palot ambacho  hufanya shughuli za kaendesha league ya CHRISC.  Timu zilizo fuzu kucheza final ya league ya CHRISC kwa mwaka huu ni pamoja na Tacoda fc kutoka kituo cha kaloleni ambacho kinaendesha ligi katika kiwanja cha Soweto. Yosso united pia kutoka kaloleni under 16, paloti under16 na14 pia kutoka kituo cha Esso, na hardroock kutoka kituo cha Suye na Kijenge youth  na Tiger Boys  kutoka kitio cha Suye

FINAL

CHRISC Arusha kwa mwaka huu kwa final ilianza tarehe 17/11/2012 kwa robo final iliyozikutanisha team kutoka zone zote katika kituo cha Suye. Na team zilizo fuzu final ndizo zilizoshiriki fainal kitika kituo cha Esso. Michezo ya fainali ilianza majira ya saa 3 kamili kwa michezo ya under 12 na mshindi wa umri hii alitoka katika kituo cha Suye kwa team ya Kijenge youth. Baada ya apo ilichezwa fainali ya under 14 iliyo chezwa kati ya team ya Tacoda fc na team kutoka katiki kituo cha Meserani na Tacoda fc waliibuka washindi wa umri huu. Pia baada ya apo ilichezwa mechi ya under 16 iliyozikutanisha team za Hardroock na palot na hatimaye Palot waliibuka washindi wa umri huu. Pia baada ya hapo ilichezwa mechi ya under 17 iliyokutanisha team za Yosso united na Tiger Boys ya kutoka Suye na mshindi wa mechi hii alikua ni timu ya Tiger Boys.
