"We are going there to win," she says. She likes to dance and play netball in addition to playing football, and tells that sports is the best thing about CHRISC. She has been CHRISC member for two years now. Captain of U 13 boys, Shineni Hassan, doesn't hesitate when we ask what is their goal for East Africa Cup: "We are going for winning" he says. Culture
Dancing practice
At the CHRISC office in Haydom there is a small dancing hall, where there is practice several times a week. When we come inside, we find the dancing group practicing again and again to make the steps right The week before we arrived, CHRISC and others invited the Haydom inhabitants for a show at Haydom Culture Centre scene.

Young district
District coordinator Jared Olembe tells us that CHRISC Haydom was started as a project in 2010. Since
George Mwanga (left) and Joseph Nikodemus
then, despite many challenges, the project has grown big and become one of the CHRISC districts in Tanzania. Nowadays a lot of people in Haydom know about CHRISC and appreciate the work they are doing. George Mwanga and Joseph Nikodemus have done a great job in CHRISC Haydom. Every day they are participating in CHRISC activities as leaders. They like very much the education and objectives in the organization. During our stay, they have been guiding us and invited us to activities. Besides football and dancing, you can also participate in aerobic and volleyball in Haydom.

Treating a twisted ankle
Bandage and water
The main theme at the workshop was sports injuries. After a theory lesson and demonstration, the participants trained on how to treat twisted joints and small wounds. These are the most common injuries in sport activities, and you can make a huge difference with only bandage and water. The participants are aware that the injuries will take shorter time to recover if they are given the right treatment early. They also learnt about heart and lung assistance and heavy bleedings, which will make them more able to save lives at accidents or in the case of heart attack.

First aid teams
Gaga "broke" his leg. Peter and Michael help him.

Three CHRISC zones in Moshi were represented, and each of them established a first aid team. At the workshop they planned equipment, responsibilities and chose a leader. The teams are motivated for participating at youth league and to teach first aid to others in their community.

She liked best the training on how you help persons who have heart attack, which impressed her. At next CHRISC youth league she and the other participants will be prepared for injuries.
